Great event with a showcase feel. College Coaches have attended this event to recruit players every year.
This tournament is sanctioned USSSA.
All Teams must be registered USSSA and must enter their team into this tournament on the USSSA website, www.usssa.com as well as entering on this site.
GPGSA (Grand Prairie Girls Softball Association) is the official host of this tournament.
The format is played as an exposure event with showcase rules and over the years has typically drawn coaches from mostly the local D3 D2 Juco etc. There is no college coach sign up for this event but we have had good success putting the word out there. Past events have been attended by UT Arlington, Texas Wesleyan, Northwood, UT Tyler, Univ of Dallas, UT Dallas, and other surrounding JUCOs.
Coaches make sure that your players are contacting more than just these colleges with invitations to attend.
As you know the key to get coaches interested in coming to see you play is dependent on the rapport that your players build with those coaches followed up with constant communications that is managed by the player.
